The Last Eight Years Have Had Me Having Doubts About The Future Of This Great Country As We Have Been Scared-Stiff About The Terrorism That Is Waiting At Every Turn. Now Lets Hear From John. Two weeks ago I announced my plans to go to the Congress and the U.S. Senate to raise Tariffs on all imported vehicles that come into the Port-Of-Entry in the USA. As it stands now, all Asian Imports pay just $600 Per Vehicle that rolls off the boat and hits our Home Land. If Ford ships a new Ford to Japan they pay $14,000 Tariff Tax per vehicle to offer that vehicle to the Japanese Market. Is that Fair Trade? This is not "FAIR TRADE" and I want it stopped. If Ford or other American Auto Manufactures are willing to pay that High Tariff Tax that's their business. But to allow these Asian vehicles onto American Soil at just $600 Per Vehicle is the exact reason why the American Auto Manufacture has lost over 50% of the American Automotive Market. I am proposing that a $5500 per vehicle tariff tax be put on all import cars that roll off of the Boats at Port-Of Entries and $7500 per vehicle if it is a truck or SUV. For vehicles that are produced at foreign auto manufactures transplant plants here in the USA, I propose half of that amount be applied to those cars and trucks which pay no Tariff Tax. Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors are on the verge of total ruin if we do not take action now to reverse this fallacy. While these American Manufacture bleed billions of dollars in loss's, billions of dollars of profit to these foreign auto manufacture's are transferred across the ocean to their Corporate Headquarters and into their countries economy. Please pass this message along to your fellow American New Car Dealers and ask that they support me as I move this issue to the Politicians of this Country. Please ask your respected Automobile Manufacture's Executives to get behind this move to save their manufacturing model and your Dealerships. I have been on radio talk shows across the country as a guest and caught absolute Hell from Toyota, Nissan, and Honda dealers for going on about this issue on Car Concerns.
